David Wilson Partnership Ltd invited clients, consultants, contractors, business associates and friends to celebrate twenty years in business. They held a reception in St Anne’s Community Centre, Barnstaple. The building was an actual example of their work; the Practice had been appointed by Barnstaple Town Council as architects for the repair and conversion of this Listed building previously. Images of their projects from the health, education and domestic sectors from the past two decades were projected onto the walls inside during the reception.
David Wilson thanked all those who had supported them deliver a wide range of projects since they were established: clients, consultants, staff past and present, and contractors. “Architecture is a team sport and we depend on many to achieve successful projects.” He added “ We have always prided ourselves on being the sort of friendly sit-along-side-you type of architects, and love developing imaginative solutions to client’s requirements”.
Peter Leaver, Landscape Director of the practice commented: “We have been very fortunate to work with a great range of clients and develop many ongoing relationships where we have time to develop an understanding of clients’ needs and improve our practice. I think that is rare in our cost driven competitive project based industry and we value it.”
Fellow director Jim Gardner added: ”A heartfelt thank you to all in the room for your support for the practice, and your part in making the past twenty years creative, productive and full of great projects successfully achieved.” The Mayor of Barnstaple, Cllr Julie Hunt cut a celebration 20th Birthday cake and wished the Practice well for the future.
