The Diocese re-provided a modern purpose-built vicarage within the grounds of the existing rambling Victorian building, which was then sold on. The brief included a ground floor study large enough for small meetings , with separate entrance so that visitors would not disturb the family part of the house. Obtaining Planning approval was a difficult task on a heavily wooded site within the conservation area.
The final scheme successfully included amendments to the entrance drive and a new gateway in the Listed perimeter wall. The scheme was delivered on time and budget to a good standard by a local contractor with a reputation for quality, Pearce Construction.
