Working with our partners in Torridge District Council, David Wilson Partnership were engaged to develop designs for a replacement Life Guard Facility for Westward Ho!

The design solution was to propose a simple yet contemporary timber clad pod that could be easily craned into place on pad foundations. The design provided viewing window and decking for the Life Guards to ensure all round visibility and surveillance of the surrounding beach and waterside.

Fully timber clad, the building form and material was designed to be robust as well as economic in terms of long term maintenance and replacement.
