This historic Church property is thought to date from the 17th century and is linked to the lych gate of the Parish church. It is used for community meetings at first floor and by a Pre School on the ground floor.
The charity wanted to bring it up to 21st Century standards by a scheme of improvements. These will provide an accessible toilet and baby change for the Pre-school, church and Old School Room and for disabled visitors to the village. The scheme includes a lift to the Upper Room – which will house the Mervyn Dalling community archive and a Parson Jack Russell display. A new kitchen area and a repaired roof are also included. The scheme now has been submitted for Faculty approval and planning permission.
