The proposals investigate a new village hall provision as brief by the committee members. Accommodation includes, a large multi functional hall (non sport), multi use meeting/lettable spaces, kitchen, server, space for local historical archive, wc’s and ancillary spaces.

The initial architectural response proposes a series of Barn like structures of varying scales appropriate to use, organized to form a private courtyard enclosure – a mixture aof hard and soft landscaping elements – providing an additional break out space to support functions.

A simple pallet of sympathetic material were proposed, dark stained timber, stone cladding feature panels and full height glazing carefully positions to maximize daylight and views but to limit costs.
